Suliman kennels is located in the Adelaide Hills of South Australia, owned and bred by Kerin, Kerry & Rachel Hutchings. In 1973, we purchased our first afghan hound and have since succeeded in selectively breeding afghans which are a combination of elegance and substance, improving our lines with each breeding.

 

We have enjoyed much success over the last 3 decades of showing, and in recent years have bred, owned and handled Australia’s #1 Afghan Hound for 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019, known as RYMER - 'Supreme Champion Suliman Poetic Justice'. Through hard work and dedication to the breed, we have accomplished more than 100 Best in Shows and 50 reserve Best in Shows, consistently winning at some of Australia’s most prestigious all breed shows including:

 

* Best in Show at the Royal Adelaide Show (between 2500-3500 dog entries)

* Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show at Dogs NSW International Spring Fair (1700+ dog entries)

* 6x Best in Show winner at South Australia's Autumn & Winter internationals (1200+ dog entries)

* 3x Best in Show winner at the Adelaide Hills International (1000+ dog entries)

 

However, our success has not just been for us here in Australia, but also to those around the globe who we have shared our dogs with, having bred many champions and best in show winners in over 8 different countries.

 

 

We at Suliman welcome all newcomers to the breed, as well as those who have had and shared the love for Afghan Hounds for many years. We pride ourselves on providing lifetime support and guidance to all those who purchase a Suliman puppy, whether that be as a loving member of your pet or show home family.
